QTR 1 Rubrics

The assessment criteria for Mr. Hibbard’s HUmanities Block is based on a 4 point scale. 

4 represents the qualities of a reader/writer/thinker at the “profficient” or “exceeding standard” level; displaying evidence or tracks of thinking at the highest cognative levels (evaluation, application, synthesis, analysis) without teacher prompting.  Passing.

3 represents the qualities of a reader/writer/thinker at the “at standard” level; displaying evidence or tracks of thinking at high cognative levels (evaluation, application, synthesis, analysis) with occasional teacher prompting. Passing.

2 represents the qualities of a reader/writer/thinker at the “almost at standard” level; displaying evidence or tracks of thinking at the knowledge or factual level with teacher prompting.  Not passing.

1 represents the qualities of a reader/writer/thinker at the “below standard” level; displaying evidence or tracks of thinking which are unclear or not apparent.  Not passing.
